We are a small group of like minded people who are privileged to own a West Highland Terrier. This wonderful little Terrier is full of life and certainly keeps us on our toes!. They are also independent little dogs who believe they rule everything and everyone in their environment.
The aim of Wight Westie Walkers is simply to bring together Westies and friends of Westies for fun, friendship and chat. We are very lucky to live on an Island that offers walks to sandy beaches, rolling country side and woodland walks. The most perfect place for a West Highland Terrier to live is on our wonderful island, the Isle of Wight. The group was formed in May 2011 when Betty-Boo our founder came to live on the Island at the age of eight weeks old, closely followed by her sister Maggie-Mae six months later. Friendships with fellow Westies were quickly made on daily walks across the Island.

These friendships grew from five to over eighty westies. A Westie Beach Party and walk was organised to raise funds for any Westies in need and our first walk back in April 2012 had 15 West Highland Terriers in attendance. The Beach Party has grown with each passing year and Wight Westie Walkers now hold this event annually every April. We now have over eighty Westies attending this wonderful event. Wight Westie Walkers continue to raise funds to help towards any Westie in need. We always welcome new members and any fundraising ideas that you might have. We look forward to seeing you at our next event and don’t forget to bring your friends.
